Sacred Systems

Sacred Earth - Sacred Culture - Sacred Economy

“Sacred Systems was born from my deep longing for the sacred container of the Village, and for being surrounded by others who hold a similar dream in their hearts.  It’s one of many responses to an ever deepening cry for change. For a rebalancing of feminine and masculine polarities. For a return to our connection with the Mother. For belonging, meaning, connection and direction in a world that’s lost its way. For new systems, in service to Life.”

- Lineke Heus, founder

Community is the answer.

Sacred Systems honours the power of intentional communities as essential nurseries, where the sprouts of new life are nurtured to become potent catalysts for change. Our wish is to support & connect communities, and together create a field for learning & remembering how to live together, as if every day was a ceremony.

So, what is Sacred Systems?

Sacred Systems takes us on a journey across time, cosmologies, disciplines, cultures and continents, as we unravel the answers to the question: how can we revive the Village in the context of our time? Our Treasure Hunt aims to retrieve pearls of wisdom through ongoing action research, and integrate them with resources and support for intentional communities, including: the Village Roadmap & Compass to create direction, training & coaching, and highly experiential Village immersions.

Other ways to describe Sacred Systems/ our intentions…

Linking inner transformation with outer systems change

Blending systems thinking, kincentricism (embodied deep ecology?) and embodied feminine leadership

Rooting concepts and systems in the wisdom of the body

Weaving ancient ‘Village’ wisdom with contemporary community practices to bridge the old & new.

A node within a network of pioneers who support the emergence of new systems during this time of transition.

A growing library/ collection of paths and practices to revive the Village.

A community of practice, learning & listening together.

Listening deeply to the intelligence of Creation lies at the heart of our work. As such, Sacred Systems is constantly evolving, guided by the pulse of Life.

“The world doesn’t change one person at a time. It changes as networks of relationships form among people who discover they share a common cause and vision of what’s possible. Community is the answer. Community is the unit of change.

- Margaret Wheatley
